Spring has sprung and so has hamfest season. Here are some upcoming events in the EPA Section:
APRIL 27 – Saturday: York Hamfest sponsored by the York Hamfest Foundation. The event is held at Elicker’s Grove Park located at 511 Roth Church Road in Spring Grove, PA 17362. Link for info: http://www.yorkhamfest.org/
APRIL 28 – Sunday: POTA Extravaganza in Montgomery County’s Evansburg State Park (Pavilion A) sponsored by the Pottstown Area Amateur Radio Club. PAARC in the PARK is an event running from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM to demonstrate how to set up and operate a POTA station. PAARC president Walt Skavinsky, KB3SBC, has put together an exciting event featuring 4 of the top POTA activators in the nation including Pete Kobak, K0BAK, Greg Malone, WA3GM, Joe Rubincam, NF3R and Bill Hewitt, W3FRB. May 5 – Sunday: Warminster ARC Hamfest and EPA Section Convention. Sponsored by the Warminster Amateur Radio Club, the hamfest is held at the Bucks County Community College (Lower Bucks Campus) located at 1304 Veterans Highway (Rt 413) in Bristol, PA 19007. The EPA Section Convention is scheduled for 10:30 AM and features a Q&A session by ARRL Atlantic Division Director Bob Famiglio, K3RF. Link for info on the hamfest: https://wp.k3dn.org/hamfest
