Isaias is off the Florida coast this morning with maximum winds at 70 mph. By 2 pm this afternoon Isaias is forecast to regain strength and again become a Cat 1 hurricane with winds of 75 mph.
Isaias is moving northward at a speed of 9 mph. Isaias is expected to make landfall in the Carolinas at approximately 2 AM Tuesday morning and lose strength. Winds are forecast to be at around 70 mph.
Expect Isaias to increase forward speed and move NNE at 21 mph with winds of 70 mph, slightly below Cat 1 strength.
At 2 PM Tuesday, Isaias will be over the Delaware By with winds of approximately 65 mph and moving NNE at 30 mph.
Although the impact from Isaias to Eastern Pennsylvania will be minimal, you can expect heavy rains well ahead of the storm and high winds. Isaias will be moving fast and should clear our area by Tuesday evening.
