Red Cross volunteers George Breslau – KC3UPK (left) and Jay King – W2AFE are Blood Drive Donor Ambassadors and Southeastern Pennsylvania Red Cross Emergency Communications volunteers. As Blood Drive Ambassadors they greet blood donors and prepare them for their donor sessions. As emcomm volunteers they provide radio communications in the event of phone system and internet outages. Both are members of the Philadelphia County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (PCARES). Jay King also serves as the EPA Section Emergency Coordinator for the 34 counties of Eastern Pennsylvania.
