National Preparedness Month

posted in: News Articles

I received this email from Carmine Prestia (K3CWP) this morning and thought it was worth sharing.

I’m not suggesting we all become “Preppers”, but the time to prepare for an emergency is between emergencies, not when we are faced with an emergency.

You can’t devote attention to ARES and other emergency services if you are thinking about the family you left behind. Take care of your emergency plans now.

Good morning:

September is National Preparedness Month. For information relative to preparedness for everyone see the Ready PA website at:

https://www.ready.pa.gov/Pages/default.aspx

Remember that today is the 18th Anniversary of 9-11. Spend a few moments remembering those from our first responder services who answered their last call. Also remember the civilians and their families lost at the same time.
