Well, one month from now we will be wrapping up this year’s 2019 Ride MS – City to Shore, from Cherry Hill, NJ to Ocean City, NJ. The only problem is, we don’t have enough HAMS to support this event the way it should be – the way we have done so many years in the past. We are still looking to fill all positions for the event, but mainly we need the root core of our operations.
LET’S SHOW EVERYONE THAT THE HAM COMMUNITY IS A FORCE.
Route Volunteers
We are asking, no – begging, that you dig deep and set 5 – 6 hours a day aside for 2 days on the 21st and 22nd of September. While at this late date, we no longer can take ads for the back of our T-shirts, there still are complementary rooms available for 2 day volunteers. Sign up soon.
A lot of you know, but a lot of you don’t, that I got involved with this event 17 years ago when the love of my life, one of our own, KC2SFA, was diagnosed with this devastating disease. It wasn’t until I started working with the event that I found out and realized what a community the HAM community is. The caring and attitude of you folks, coming out to help others, at your own expense, is what makes me so proud to say that I am an Amateur Radio Operator. So yes, I do this for a selfish reason, but you folks do it out of the kindness of your hearts.
