The EPA Section Talkgroup has been disabled by Brandmeister and will NOT
be reinstated.
According to Corey N3FE, one of the administrators for Brandmeister,
“The talkgroup is disabled. There was talk with the cbridge owners they
were to use some 7 digit talkgroup number so that it would pass to the
cbridge system. 31426 was pulled months ago and is NOT the EPA
talkgroup regardless of what anyone says. Even thought it was labeled
for less than a week and then pulled back, they were to use some other
talkgroup number than I was not told as I am not part of that group. It will remain disabled and will 31426 will not be assigned back to
EPA”
So, sorry. There will NOT be an EPA Talkgroup. We will NOT hold an EPA
Section DMR Net.
To the best of my knowledge, this action has never been taken by
Brandmeister before.
For the immediate future, I will not attempt to resurrect the EPA
Talkgroup or start a net for DMR.
I am extremely disappointed. I was under the impression that as Hams we
all worked together to strengthen amateur radio. Some bureaucrat at
Brandmeister has decided we are not worthy.
Please participate in our scheduled nets on HF. These nets are open and
we welcome all Hams with the necessary license classes.
