I’m glad we have been invited to use the PA Crossmode Talkgroup For the EPA Section Digital Net permitting just about anyone using digital to join in.

Voice digital modes on VHF/UHF are becoming very popular. Digital Mobile Radio has introduced new modes to Amateur Radio, just as in the past SSB and FM introduced new voice modes on the amateur bands. No matter what mode you may be using, try to find a link and join is for our EPA Section Net.

I’m comparatively new to Digital Mobile Radio, but if you have questions and your local club guru can’t help you, email me and I’ll try to get you in touch with someone.

There’s some information on the various modes on YouTube that you may want to view.

Digital HT’s can be purchased for $100 to $200 new. Used radios may be available for less.

Do some research before you buy a radio.
