Please help me celebrate my Father’s birthday by sending him a card from a fellow Amateur Operator. He has been a Ham for almost 80 years and would appreciate a QSL in the form of a birthday card from each of you. I am hoping to get 97, or more, QSLs to him by his birthday celebration on Aug 29th. I know the time is short but this just occurred to me and I hope you will help. Feel free to send more than one.
Send the cards or QSL cards to :

You might be wondering who W3WM is.
- His parents came to America from Germany and he was born here in South Dakota.
- He grew up in Chicago with his 4 younger brothers and helped out in the family service station and had a fascination with geography and listening to shortwave.
- He taught himself all he needed to know to get the highest level of Amateur Operator license at approximately 16 years old, shocking all the old timers.
- He went to Illinois Institute of Technology majoring in electrical engineering later to be known as electronics. He helped put himself through school working for what would become Motorola assembling/soldering one of kind large power transmitters for war bound navy ships.
- He served in the Navy at the end of WWII and stayed in the Reserves for 35 years, retiring at the rank of Captain.
- He met his wife, Sylbia, KB3HYV, in Chicago and they spent 67 and half years together.
- Along the way he moved to DuBois, PA and worked for several major electronics companies becoming a VP of operations and business development. He earned two Masters along the way.
- He retired and went to work for Penn State at the main campus helping businesses develop technologies.
- He has remained active in Amateur Radio and has helped a multitude of hams get their start and some even to have related careers.
