The ARRL reports that as of July 1 at 1600 UTC the Logbook of the World was returned to service. The popular application, used by millions of amateur radio operators, was affected by the recent web services hack and required maintenance.

The ARRL reports it is taking steps to help deal with what is expected to be a huge influx of logs. The League asks that if you have large uploads, as from contests or a DXpedition, please consider delaying those submissions a week or two to avoid overwhelming servers.

Throughout the end of the year, the ARRL reports the LoTW may be unavailable at times as maintenance is performed on the system. Logbook of the World is the second most popular ARRL benefit behind QST magazine.
