From the Ev Comms Team for the 2019 MS 150 City to Shore Ride:
We had some major problems with our Yahoo account, and found out that 2 of our emails never got out. We are trying other services so look for our Emails coming from different services, but “EvComm” will always be in the name, and MS 150 will always be part of the subject line. Due to these problems, our volunteer base for this year is so low that we would never be able to support the event. All we have at this point are 20 communicators to man the route, and all our other areas are just as low.
We have been supporting this event for over 30 years, and over the past 10 years we have surpassed all levels of confidence that the Society has had of us. PLEASE DON’T LET THIS STOP NOW.
Our volunteer base has grown substantially over the past 5 years, and we attribute that to the help that we have received from all the clubs in the tri-state area promoting the event. Our appreciation can not be explained properly.
We hear that testing sessions for new HAMS have been bringing a good number of folks to our hobby, and what better way for them to get their feet wet, than to volunteer for the MS 150, to show their dedication to public service. PLEASE TRY TO GET THE WORD OUT FOR US AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
The folks living with MS depend on our help with the safety and success of this event. Please dig deep and try to put this weekend, September 21st and 22nd, 2019 on your calendar to come and help out and show the public that Amateur Radio is the community of compassion and professionalism.
You can sign up on line at: http://main.nationalmssociety.org/HAMS
Please remember that we need these forms back as soon as possible, and if you want to have your CALL or AD on the back of our T-shirt, those forms need to be in within the next 10 days.
Thank you again, and we look forward to working with you again this year!
With Much Appriciation
