Hello all,
Apologies to those that receive this twice.
Amateur Radio will again be providing communications for the York Marathon. Date is Sunday, May 14, 2017. Start will be at York YMCA on Newberry St and will end at back at the YMCA. Turn Around will be at Springfield Lane. Times will be the same; run start at 6 AM and end at noon (or a little later). Would be great to have 30 plus Hams helping again this year.
New Hams this is a great learning experience. We will put you with an experienced operator. This is one of the best events we serve. You will learn a lot more about ‘operating in the field’, using equipment other than an HT. We also use several Zone Nets and have much greater ‘on air’ discipline for when you may talk on the air.
