Warminister Hamfest/Section Convention

On of the first hamfests in our Section is this Sunday, May 7, 2017 sponsored by the Warminster Amateur Radio Club at it’s new location in Bristol, PA and it’s also our Section Convention.

Scheduled Speakers/Timetable:

9 am to 10 am – Digital Software (NBEMS/FLDIGI) in Emergency communications – with Barry Feierman, K3EUI. Room 204-205

10 am to 11 am – ARRL Update – by Norm Fusaro, W3IZ, ARRL Radio Sport Department Manager. Room 204-205

10 am — VEC Amateur Radio License testing. Room 203

11 am to 12 Noon – State of Ham Radio Today – by Bob Famiglio, K3RF, ARRL Atlantic Vice Director & Volunteer Legal Counsel. Room 204-205

Bob will present a short talk on the state of Ham Radio today and discuss the issues we as radio amateurs face going into the future.

And then assisted by our EPA Section officials will host an open forum including a Q&A session for those attending to be able to discuss and ask questions they may have about the league or other issues facing Ham Radio today.

Bob and the other Section officials in attendance invite your questions about ham radio and the League.

The Hamfest will be held at the Bucks County Community College – lower Bucks campus, 1304 Veterans Highway, Bristol, PA. and has inside vendor spaces with electricity available at all tables in addition to paved parking and tailgate area.
