Amateur Radio has many "branches" in the field of Amateur Radio Emergency Communications. Groups such as SATERN, MARS, RACES and ARES are the primary groups. The primary EmComm group under the ARRL is Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES). The ARES structure is as follows.
Robert J. Wiseman, WB3W
Schnecksville, PA. 18078
In the ARRL structure the position of Assistant Section Emergency Coordinator exists. However, the EPA Section has no one in place for that position .
District Emergency Coordinator (DEC)
Assistant District Emergency Coordinator (ADEC)
Emergency Coordinator (EC)
Although it is not an "official" ARRL appointment many EC's have Assistant EC's on their staff.
Official Emergency Stations (OES)
